In late 2008, Lisa Hilbert made the decision to open her own salon. She found the perfect space, had a name for the business and even had a color concept in mind. Pulling it all together was a different matter and she knew that help from an experienced design professional was essential to her success. She started the process with a drive to Takara Belmont's Design Center in Norwood, Massachusetts where she met with Andrea Egan, a member of Takara Belmont's renowned interior design team.

The new Sharon Dorram Color at Sally Hershberger Salon unites two of the hairstyling world's leading icons under a single European-style roof. The doors say French, and so do the dormers, but the salon actually lies tucked behind a vintage limestone townhouse on Manhattan's Upper East Side. The salon's stations are decidedly neutral, including white Prism styling chairs supplied by Takara Belmont. "We didn't want to detract from the surroundings" recalls Jason DeSantis, regional sales manager with the supplier. "We responded with something clean and simple and classic."
